General¶
- 7 × MGN12H carriage (4 for the Y axis, 1 for the X axis, 2 for the Z axis)
- 3 × 2040 extrusion 313 mm (top, front, back)
- 4 × 2040 extrusion 364 mm (Y axis)
- 1 × 2020 extrusion 420 mm (X axis)
- 2 × 608ZZ bearing, optional, only with the top threaded rod holders
- 16 × HBLFSNF5 corner bracket, or the cheap ones I used
- 2 × GT2 16T idler (3 mm bore)
- 1 × 5 m GT2 fiberglass-reinforced belt, 6 mm wide, 2 mm pitch (the best belt I used)
- 6 × rubber feet
- 1 × PC4-M6 OD4 mm fitting, optional, for Greg's geared extruder

Rails¶
Two options for the MGN12H rails:
- Lower cost rails
- Genuine HIWIN rail set, more expensive but the best quality available
Metal parts for extra rigidity:
- Metal bed carriage for MGN carriages
- Bottom metal plates, stronger replacements for the AM8 printed parts
- Metal belt tensioner for the Y axis
Choose your size¶
- 2 × 2040 extrusion 440 mm (Z axis)
- 3 × MGN12 350 mm rail (X and Z axis)
- 2 × MGN12 400 mm rail (Y axis)
- 4 × MGN12 400 mm rail
- 1 × MGN12 360 or 350 mm rail
- 2 × 2040 extrusion 500 mm (Z axis)
- 2 × threaded rods 400 mm
Hotend¶
- Trianglelab V6 hotend (1.75, 24V, PTFE), used in an earlier build
- Mellow hotend set (24V, PTFE), my choice
- Blurolls good quality V6 hotend
- Cheap V6 hotend clone
Electronics¶
- Duet WiFi clone v1.03 + 4.3" LCD + controller
- All-metal E3D V6 hotend, genuine E3D from Filastruder.com, highly recommended
- BMG dual-drive extruder / good metal BMG dual extruder / BMG clone extruder
- 1 m Capricorn clone PTFE tube, 1.9 or 2 mm ID
- Silicone sock to keep the nozzle temperature steady
- Easy fast wire connectors
- Spring steel sheet 220 × 220 + PEI sheet + magnetic sheet
Optional¶
- 1 m corrugated tube
- Mayitr black braided cable sleeve, like Prusa
- DC step-down module LM2596, for 12V fans or an LED strip
- 5 m LED strip 5050, 60 LEDs/m, 44-key, waterproof
- Wago compact wiring connector
- 500 pcs 3/32" G10 hardened steel balls for MGN12H rails (replacement)
- 100K NTC 3950 thermistors (replacement if broken)
- Brass brush for cleaning the hotend
- 440 pcs set of M3 socket cap head DIN912 screws
